Western wear adds to the fun, even if it’s not required. Stores like Lammle’s can hook you up with cowboy hats, western shirts, Wranglers, and boots. Rhinestones and fringe are a bonus! Also remember to wear sunblock and shades.
2. Getting There
It’s best to leave your car at home, since there’s limited parking. Use public transit like the CTrain (Victoria Park/Stampede Station), walk if you’re close, or opt for Uber or taxis.
3. Tickets
General admission tickets give access to most attractions: the midway (rides extra), Coca-Cola Stage shows, Nashville North, agricultural exhibits, Big Four Roadhouse, Western Oasis, and Elbow River Camp. Rodeo and evening shows need separate tickets but include general admission for the day. If visiting multiple times, consider a Super Pass for unlimited entry.
Book early for big acts at the Saddledome—they sell out quickly. Cowboys Music Festival also requires separate tickets.
4. Value Events
Enjoy the Stampede without breaking the bank. Look for Value Days like Sneak-A-Peek, Western Heritage Day, or BMO Kids’ Day. Check event info closer to the date for free shows with gate admission.
Pancake breakfasts are a must. Fluor Rope Square downtown is a good starting point. Swing by and grab a free meal!
