Alberta Ballet presents The Nutcracker at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2026. The afternoon performance is the final scheduled Calgary presentation of the production this holiday season.

Choreographed by artistic director Francesco Ventriglia, the ballet features costumes designed by Gianluca Falaschi and sets designed by Italo Grassi.

The production follows the traditional story of Clara and her journey through a world of toy soldiers, the Nutcracker Prince, and the Land of Sweets. The performance features music composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, performed live by the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
