Calgary rock fans, get ready! This holiday season is about to get a whole lot louder as P.O.D. and Buckcherry take over the Grey Eagle Event Centre for one unforgettable night of live music.
Forget the Christmas carols and holiday jingles. CJAY 92 is turning up the volume this December with its Christmas Recital, featuring two major names in rock music.
The concert takes place on Friday, December 18, 2026, at the Grey Eagle Event Centre in Calgary.
Whether you grew up listening to early 2000s rock or just love a great live show, this is one holiday event you’ll want on your calendar.
Two Rock Powerhouses, One Calgary Stage
CJAY 92 and Grey Eagle Resort & Casino are teaming up to bring P.O.D. and Buckcherry together for a night packed with energy, nostalgia, and hard-hitting rock music.
Both bands have built loyal fan bases over the years, delivering memorable hits and high-energy performances.
And now, Calgary fans will have the chance to experience them both on the same night.
P.O.D. Brings Their Signature Sound to Calgary
If you listened to rock radio in the early 2000s, chances are you know P.O.D.
The San Diego band became a major name in alternative metal and nu-metal, blending rock, hip-hop, and reggae influences into a sound that helped define an era.
Their breakthrough album Satellite, released in 2001, introduced fans around the world to some of their biggest songs.
Popular P.O.D. tracks include:
- Alive
- Youth of the Nation
- Boom
- Satellite
With more than 10 million records sold worldwide and three Grammy Award nominations, P.O.D. has made a lasting impact on rock music.
Their upcoming Calgary performance gives longtime fans a chance to revisit the music they grew up with while introducing a new generation to their powerful sound.
A Christmas Party With a Rock ‘n’ Roll Twist
While December in Calgary usually means Christmas markets, holiday lights, and festive celebrations, CJAY 92 is offering something a little different.
Instead of traditional holiday music, fans can expect a night focused on loud guitars, familiar rock anthems, and plenty of energy.
The Christmas Recital is a chance to gather your friends, enjoy some live music, and celebrate the holiday season in a completely different way.
And with two well-known rock bands sharing the lineup, it’s shaping up to be a great night for anyone who loves live concerts.
Buckcherry Is Ready to Bring the Energy
Joining P.O.D. is American hard rock band Buckcherry, known for their gritty sound, unforgettable hooks, and energetic live performances.
Led by vocalist Josh Todd, Buckcherry rose to prominence in the late 1990s and became a familiar name on rock radio throughout the 2000s.
Some of their best-known songs include:
- Crazy B*tch
- Sorry
- Lit Up
- Everything
The band has spent decades building its reputation through albums, touring, and a passionate fan base.
For Calgary rock fans, having Buckcherry and P.O.D. on the same bill makes this Christmas concert even more exciting.
