A Fairytale Adventure, Elevated
Few films balance romance, swordplay, and comedy like The Princess Bride. On October 10 & 11, Calgary audiences can rediscover the cult classic as the Calgary Philharmonic pairs Mark Knopfler’s score with the on-screen adventure at the Jack Singer Concert Hall.
Music Meets Movie Magic
This isn’t just a screening — it’s an orchestral experience. As Buttercup and Westley’s story plays out, the Philharmonic performs Knopfler’s unforgettable melodies, specially arranged for symphony orchestra. Every duel, escape, and witty exchange gains new emotional depth.
A Date with Nostalgia and Grandeur
Whether you’ve memorized every line or are sharing the story with someone new, this concert delivers a rare treat: cinematic nostalgia wrapped in the warmth of a live symphony. Reserve your seat for an afternoon that’s equal parts romance, adventure, and musical splendor.
