To Do in Calgary this week: Fall Fests, Brews & Ghouls

Fall is in full swing, and Calgary is packed with ways to celebrate it. Whether you’re into local markets, haunted parks, hockey, or Halloween pups, this lineup brings cozy, creative, and chaotic energy all at once. Here’s what’s happening around the city from October 24–26.

1. Shop Local & Snack Fireside: Confluence Artisan Market

📍 The Confluence | Oct 25–26

The Confluence Artisan Market is back and better than ever. With more than 70 local vendors, live music, and marshmallow roasting by the river, it’s the perfect way to lean into fall. Bring the family, grab a hot cider, and check out handmade goods from Calgary’s creative community. Admission is free, but donations to the Calgary Food Bank are encouraged.

2. Sip in the Rockies: Banff Craft Beer Festival

📍 Cave and Basin National Historic Site | Oct 23–25

Beer, mountains, and crisp fall air. The Banff Craft Beer Festival takes Alberta’s best breweries and places them against one of the most stunning backdrops in the world. Expect food pairings, shuttle service, and a lively crowd of fellow beer lovers. It’s 18+ and pure Rocky Mountain magic.

3. Embrace the Spooky Season: Ghouls’ Night Out

📍 Heritage Park | Oct 23–26

Costumes, lights, and just the right amount of fright. Ghouls’ Night Out turns Heritage Park into a Halloween wonderland filled with games, crafts, and eerie characters. New this year is Unsettled, a Haunted Calgary Red Zone scare zone for those who like a good jolt. Whether you’re in it for the candy or the chills, this is a must-see family event.

4. Parade of Pups: Kensington Pup Crawl

📍 Kensington Road | Oct 26

This one’s for the dogs and the humans who adore them. The beloved Halloween Dog Parade returns with costumed pups, treats, photo ops, and pet caricatures. Trick-or-treat through local businesses or just come to watch the cutest parade in the city. Bonus points for creative costumes and matching outfits.
